The Kyokushinkan Karate Organisations squad (Royama) is geared up for the Open European Karate Championship scheduled for Moscow, Russia, on Saturday and Sunday.
This was said by Shihan Collen Sedoaba, the organisation’s branch chief, ahead of the international competition.
Said a confident Sedoaba: “The squad is highly motivated and everything has gone according to plan in terms of preparations.“We are not going to add numbers in Russia, but we want to leave a big impression there and come back as victors.”
Sedoaba, who is a principal at Sijabulile Secondary School, said they have quality fighters in the camp in the likes of senseis Simphiwe Dlulane and Tshepiso Lesiba.
The squad: Dlulane, Bonga Kubukani, Buhle Hlaba, Lwazi Kama, Thabo Mbatha, Siyabonga Tyandela, Lesiba, Dineo Dlulane and James Sithole.They will be accompanied by Shihan Hennie Bosman, the chairman of Kyokushinkan Africa, Shihan Wandile Ncapai, sensei Paul Sehlabelo and Sedoaba.
